Flaherty & Crumrine Inc. is an investment advisory firm that created the Preferred Income family of closed-end funds. The five funds trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and specialize in preferred and contingent securities. Flaherty & Crumrine hired Amara Grimes Design to come up with a new brand identity along with two new websites — one website for the Preferred Income funds and another website for the parent company, Flaherty & Crumrine Inc. The Preferred Income website not only required the new visual branding but also the complex back-end coding necessary to provide real-time fund data on the site. The five spokes of the logo represent the five funds that comprise the fund family.
