Bob is a 25+ year veteran of the design business. He discovered his love for design and art direction while studying Fine Arts at Florida State University, and graduated with a BA in graphic design. His talent, Southern charm and exceptional taste landed him a position at a prestigious Los Angeles design studio. Within five years, the demand for his work and marketing expertise enabled him to open his own studio, with his soon-to-be wife Janice Mara. Bob has earned an impressive reputation among his peers and in the business sector. From small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, Bob brings common sense, excitement and solid marketing principles to every project. Elizabeth Callahan
Art Director, Senior Designer
Elizabeth Callahan is our lead graphic designer, and has worked closely with Bob Grimes over the past 16 years at Amara Grimes Design. With 23 years experience in the industry, Elizabeth brings invaluable skills in project management, client organization and design to every project. Her attention to detail is unwavering. She has a true passion and flair for visual planning, typography and layout, and knows how to translate a client's goals into stunning, effective design solutions. She also brings a natural ability in both leading and sharing design projects with a team. A Los Angeles Valley College Graduate, Elizabeth's design experience covers annual reports, print collateral, business identity, websites, PowerPoint presentations, marketing materials, newsletters and more.
Mark Slater
Director, Web & Digital Media
Mark spent the first two decades of his career as a creative director and TV commercial producer, living and working in New York and several foreign countries. After designing his first web site in 1996, Mark saw the light and shifted his interests to new media. He went on to head the interactive divisions of a number of advertising and public relations agencies, working for clients like Yamaha, BP, McDonalds, Motorola, Ray-Ban and many others on domestic and international campaigns. To date his work has appeared in 16 languages. Mark brings a multifaceted perspective to his projects, believing that the best way to advance the communications goals of his clients is to create unique online experiences for users. Mark attended the University of Minnesota and the School of Visual Arts in NYC.
